Lahore: Shanghai Younai Industry Company, China Railway and Pak-China Investment Company has signed investment framework agreements with the Government of Punjab, reported a news source. The agreements were signed in Punjab Board of Investment and Trade office on Thursday.

Chinese Consulate General in Lahore Long Dingbin, Provincial Minsiter for Industries, Commerce, and Investment Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal, Punjab Board of Investment and Trade CEO Jahanzeb Burana and officials from these companies attended the agreement-signing ceremony.

Under this agreement, the above-mentioned Chinese companies will invest in the garment sector. These companies will set up their textile units in a special economic zone. The planned economic zone will span 400 acres of land and it will provide employment to 5,000 people.
