Islamabad: China Railway Construction Corporation International (CRCCI), in collaboration with Pakistan Software Export Board, is looking to set up a special IT economic zone on 32 acres of land in the federal capital, reported a news source.

In this regard, a CRCCI delegation held a meeting with Advisor to Prime Minister on Commerce, Textile, Industries & Production and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood on July 3. The purpose of this meeting was to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan’s IT sector.

As a mega-integrated developer and contractor, CRCCI is in strategic partnership with top IT companies from the world. Advisor Abdul Razak Dawood appraised the delegation on investment-friendly opportunities that CRCCI plans to set up in Pakistan. He also highlighted the special incentives available for the investors looking to set up their businesses in the special economic zones.

The advisor ensured the CRCCI that it would receive the cooperation required to move forward with the project. He also suggested that CRCCI should collaborate with local IT firms to transfer their knowledge and expertise and help create jobs opportunities in Pakistan.
