Saindak: A Chinese firm – MCC Resources Development Co Ltd (MRDL) – has vowed to help develop the mining sector in Pakistan, according to a news story published in the leading newspaper on November 2.

The Chinese company is working on Saindak copper-cum-gold project and celebrated the completion of 20 years of operations. A ceremony was organised to commemorate it, which was attended by MRDL President Zhang Zhijun, MRDL Chairman He Xuping, Saindak Metals Limited (SML) Managing Director Muhammad Raziq Sanjrani, MRDL Senior Vice President Muhammad Nawaz Khan, and others.
Speaking at the event, the chairman stated that both countries have worked together to set up a non-ferrous metal mine that integrates mining, smelting, and concentrating. He went on to say that the company has standardised its management, fulfilled cooperation agreements and worked together with SML for development and maintaining stability and efficiency.

Moreover, Chairman Xuping stated that the company has trained many mining engineers and other experts to meet the future needs of the mining sector. He mentioned that the said project has been included as a mega project in the China-Pakistan-Economic-Corridor (CPEC).
