Islamabad: A Chinese delegation visiting Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) has shown interest in investing in the agricultural and poultry sectors, reported a news source. The delegation met with PARC Chairman Dr Muneer Ahmed, who briefed them about the operations of the council.

The delegation showed keen interest in making specific investments under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. They delegation showed intent to invest in Plant Sciences, Zoological Studies, Social Sciences, and Poultry and Agriculture Sector.

Speaking at the occasion, Ahmed said that CPEC will specifically play a vital role in the growth of agriculture. He also appreciated the cooperation extended by China in various research projects launched by PARC.
The delegation told PARC officers that investors in China are looking to invest in the agriculture sector. This cooperation, according to the delegation, will help the agriculture sector in Pakistan to grow further. They also pointed out the need for bilateral cooperation in various sectors connected with the agriculture industry.
