Lahore: A contract worth $382 million has been awarded to China Construction Third Engineering Bureau, a Chinese company, for the reconstruction of Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport, according to a news source. Under this contract, the company will not only improve the infrastructure of the facility, but will also make it the largest airport in Pakistan.
Reportedly, it is the largest project the company has yet undertaken overseas. Previously, the same company won a bid for the construction of the Lahore-Karachi Motorway between Sukkur and Multan, the Centaurus Hotel, and Arfa Software Technology Park.
