Islamabad: The China State Construction Engineering Company (CSCEC) has expressed keen interest in investing in five major development projects in Islamabad, as reported on August 19.

As per details, the projects include the proposed Jinnah Medical Complex, a Solid Waste Management Plant, two underpasses, and six interchanges. During a recent visit to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) headquarters, a high-level delegation from CSCEC engaged in detailed discussions with CDA officials. Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa briefed the delegation on more than ten significant development projects currently under consideration. The Chinese company showed particular interest in five of these projects, actively engaging in discussions and asking several questions regarding their feasibility.

The next step will involve a team of technical experts from CSCEC visiting Islamabad to conduct a detailed review of the proposed projects before finalising their investment decisions. Randhawa highlighted CSCEC’s vital role in Pakistan’s infrastructure development and expressed optimism about the potential for further collaboration. He assured that the ongoing projects in Islamabad would be completed on time with full transparency, emphasising the innovative contributions expected from the Chinese firm.
