Islamabad: China has completed its survey into Pakistani waters with regard to the exploration of oil, gas, and other mineral deposits – a news source reported. Chinese officials will test the findings of this survey in their laboratories.

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi, during his recent visit to China, had requested the authorities concerned to assist Pakistan with regard to mineral exploration activities.
To facilitate this end, China mobilised a ship that surveyed Pakistani waters to locate potential deposit sites.
It is pertinent to mention that Beijing has utilised expensive, modern technological implements to fulfil the task at hand.

According to the Planning Commission, Islamabad is working on developing a mineral policy in accordance with modern lines. Once finalised, this framework will facilitate the mineral sector in creating more jobs and improving exports.
