Chaklala Cantt Board (CCB) ordained to curtail property tax by 200 per cent. Sources say that by the fourfold increase of tax in 2011, tax revenue decreased.
Elected representatives and top officials of Cantonment and Military Land issued commands to the related authorities to decrease the tax and the orders have have now been implemented.
Revised assessment policy reveals that the property tax for residences in posh areas would plunge down from Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 20,000 per annum.
This initiative has been taken in the public interest and it would surge tax collection manifold-said CEO Cahklala Cantt Board.
