Rawalpindi: The Chaklala Cantonment Board has offered a 15% rebate on property tax; with September 30 set as the latest tax-submission deadline – a news source reported. As per officials, the authority has notified its decision to facilitate the property owners who have received their tax notices for the first time.

For collecting property taxes for 2019-20, the board has issued notices to over 4,000 property owners in the city. These notices are issued in the first phase of tax-collection mechanism planned to achieve the set targets. For the fiscal year 2019-20, the property tax collection target set by Chaklala Cantonment Board stands at PKR 400 million. The target will be achieved in a phased manner – divided over the four quarters of the fiscal year.
