Peshawar: The district administration has started working on constructing public parks in Timergara and Chadara region, news sources reported on December 7.

It is worth noting that the project was inaugurated on November 17 by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mehmood Khan. The Chakdara park and playground project will be completed at the cost of PKR 40 million on 300 kanals of land opposite the Afghan refugee camp. Whereas Timergara park will be completed with a budget of PKR 59 million.

As per the sources, the park and the ground would be constructed on ‘barren’ land lying along the Chakdara bypass road. Speaking to the media, Adenzai Assistant commissioner Daud Saleemi said that the district administration has already cleared the land from encroachments with the machinery starting the excavation soon.
