Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Amir Ali Ahmad on Sunday (February 06) inaugurated an art gallery at F-9 Park, news sources reported. The art gallery will display pictures and murals about the capital city’s heritage and history.

On the occasion, the chairman said that the government and the city administration is taking every step to restore the city’s beauty and make it tourist-friendly with entertainment centres. He said that the art gallery, part of the history museum, will serve as a new space for the citizens to visit and absorb the city’s beauty. Moreover, he said that due to the administration and especially the Environment Directorate, the park is now open for the public even in the late hours and has been turned into a space for the people to visit even in the evening hours.

The chairman also highlighted the artist community’s role in developing and promoting the city with a more critical role to play in the future. It is essential to mention here that the ICT and CDA decided to restore the F-9 Park, and a considerable sum was allocated. That included restoring jogging tracks, lights and security arrangements, and the entertainment options for the visitors. The F-9 park is one of the city’s largest parks, with hundreds of visitors daily.
