Quetta: Balochistan Minister for Communications & Works (C&W) Arif Jan Muhammad Hassani said that his ministry would facilitate the Chagai district with development projects, a news source reported. He added that it was the provincial government’s top priority to ensure basic facilities for the people of the district.

The minister revealed this information while inaugurating a water scheme in Chagai on Monday. The said water scheme was worth PKR 30 million. On the occasion, the C&W minister stated that Chagai would get at least 270 water supply schemes.
Hassani stated that the provincial government also planned to construct 11 new dams in the district. He added that they would also establish two emergency centres between Taftan and Dalbandin. These centres would be responsible for providing emergency services at the RCD Highway.
Directing the authorities concerned to ensure the timely completion of all development projects, the minister also revealed the following projects for Chagai:
- Dalbandin Hospital, worth over PKR 30 million
- Ongoing construction of a bus stop worth PKR 50 million
- Building 15 new basic health units
- Furnishing of 100 primary schools

Hassani stressed that the incumbent government was taking all the due measures for the uplift of the district.
