Lahore: Advisor to Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood on Saturday (August 7) said that the federal government will extend all possible help to Punjab for the colonisation of industrial estates, news sources reported.

Advisor Dawood met with the Punjab Minister for Industries and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal to discuss the matter related to the establishment of industrial estates and an expo centre in Sialkot, an income tax refund of Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC)’s construction of an interchange on the motorway to link Quaid-Azam Business Park in Sheikhupura, and colonisation of industrial estates in the province.
The meeting took place in the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) office and was co-chaired by Dawood and Iqbal. The meeting members also agreed to fine those who have not yet established their industries on the allotted land within the time limit specified.

In addition, it was decided to establish a joint one window facility by the Federal Board of Investment (FBI) and Punjab Board of Investment (PBI) to address the grievances of the investors. Minister Aslam said that the establishment of an expo centre at every divisional headquarters is necessary.
