Frequent road blockage on the difficult terrains was to be addressed by the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO). The resolution mentioned that the centre awarded the PKR 33 billion contract to FWO for the reconstruction of the Gilgit-Skardu Road and the organization had agreed to construct tunnels in the rock-fall and landslide-prone areas. The organization, however, didn’t construct the proposed tunnels, read the resolution that MPA Mehmood Ismail tabled.
