Islamabad: The Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar has stated that the centre is committed to completing all of Karachi’s development projects – a news source reported today (July 10). Umar stated this in a meeting with the Governor Sindh Imran Ismail.

The two officials discussed various matters relating to the Public Sector Development Programme in Sindh. The minister also pledged to complete all projects under Prime Minister’s Karachi mega-projectwithout any delays.
He further said that the central government is awaiting the Sindh government’s response on the K-IV project and that the federal government will provide its share of funds and will expedite the project.

The role of Sindh Infrastructure Development Company (SIDCL) also came under discussion. The governor stated that all the projects managed by the company are progressing at a steady pace and will be completed on schedule.
