The minister made these revelations while addressing the media after his arrival in Khuzdar on a two-day visit to the southern districts of Balochistan. His visit was preceded by Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to the province only three days prior, during which the premier had notified the locals of Asad Umar’s imminent arrival and had disclosed the minister’s plan to hold consultations regarding a special development package for South Balochistan.
Minister Umar took the opportunity to further state that the allocation of funds worth nearly PKR 80 billion under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) in the Budget 2020-21 was a reflection of the centre’s commitment to ensure the development of Balochistan.
