Lahore: The demand for cement in Pakistan continued to increase October, registering sales of 5.735 million tonnes; breaking the previous all-time high sale record of 5.213 million tonnes recorded in September 2020, according to a news report.
During October, the domestic cement sale increased by 15.83% as compared to the figures recorded during the same month last year. At the same time, the cement exports increased by 11.58% last month when compared with the statistics recorded in during October 2019.

The report shared in the national dailies further revealed that domestic cement dispatch in the northern region increased by 15.53 in October 2020, while the same for the southern region increased by 17.70 percent when compared with the numbers recorded in October 2019.
During the first four months of fiscal year (FY) (July to October), the cement despatches increased to 19.321 million tonnes from 16.116 million tonnes recorded in the first four months of the FY 2019.
