Islamabad: The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) has recently experienced a consecutive decline in cement prices, marking a noteworthy shift in the construction industry, as reported by a news source on January 17.

In recent observations, the northern regions of Pakistan witnessed a 0.57% decline in cement prices, with the current cost of cement bags standing at PKR 1,238. Meanwhile, in the southern region, the average price per sack has seen a slight reduction, settling at PKR 1,191.

It is important to note that cement prices exhibit variations across different cities in Pakistan. In the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, the recorded cement price is PKR 1,216, while Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Lahore report rates of PKR 1,260, PKR 1,280, and PKR 1,300, respectively. Faisalabad, on the other hand, notes a price of PKR 1,260.
