Lahore: The cellular network companies have announced a number of new packages and facilities – which include provision of uninterrupted services – in view of the novel coronavirus pandemic raging across the country, a news source reported.

The networks have introduced new packages at lower prices. The companies have also replaced standard caller tunes with messages on coronavirus precautions. Moreover, Jazz and Zong have abolished the balance validity periods, while Telenor has announced free WhatsApp and balance-sharing services.
Zong and Jazz have also created special information pages on coronavirus on their websites providing all the basic information and links to important page. All the cellular networks are also offering free calls to coronavirus emergency number: 1166.

These companies are also free calls connecting to hospitals or similar medical services.
PTCL is offering free internet to double play voice and TV customers April 30. The due date for bills has also been extended until April 30 for landline customers.
