The meeting was presided over by Minister for Planning and Development Makhdum Khusro Bakhtyar. The meeting approved a total of four development projects with a total cost of PKR 6.552 billion. Four other projects of PKR 237.178 billion were referred to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) after CDWP gave the technical approval.
CDWP can itself approve projects costing no more than PKR 3 billion, while the projects of higher estimated costs are approved by ECNEC once the CDWP clears them on technical grounds.
The approved project included two projects of the education sector, two power projects, and a project on information technology, among others.
