Islamabad: The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) clears 25 development projects worth PKR 236.71 billion in various sectors, according to news published on June 15.

The meeting was chaired by Federal Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal and was attended by the Secretary of the Planning Ministry, members of the Planning Commission, and representatives from various ministries and divisions. As per the details, the CDWP reviewed 29 projects related to the Ministry of National Food Security, Ministry of National Health Services Regulations and Coordination, Ministry of Planning Development and Special Initiatives, Cabinet Division, Ministry of Communication, and Ministry of Education and Professional Training.
The following are the details of the projects approved by the CDWP:
- Pakistan-Korea joint program on certified seed potato production, worth PKR 985.067 million.
- Professional capacity building and extension in agriculture TEVT national reform program, worth PKR 4,000 million.
- Detailed exploration of uranium resources in Bannu Basin and Kohat Plateau (Phase-V), worth PKR 1,050 million, with a directive to rationalize the cost.
- Reconnaissance survey of mineral resources RSMR (Phase-II), worth PKR 1,060 million, with a directive to rationalize the cost.

- Installation of on-grid solar power system at PNRA buildings, worth PKR 80 million.
- Implementation of online billing solution (Sehel) under public financial management reforms at federal/provincial levels worth PKR 1,995.71 million, with a directive to rationalize the cost.
- Procurement of equipment for the establishment of a cancer hospital in ICT. worth PKR 7,476 million.
- National Health program, worth PKR 6,382.783 million.
Furthermore, the CDWP approved the following development projects:
- Construction of Paharpur-Sidra Morr Road (N-55), DI Khan development package, worth PKR 2,678.251 million.
- Upgradation of Kundal Interchange (M-14) to Tajazai Road (N-55), DI Khan development package, worth PKR 9,224.950 million.
- Construction of Bhong Interchange on Sukkur-Multan motorway (M–5) at its intersection with Bhong–Sadiqabad (revised), worth PKR 1,826.569 million.
- Construction of an interchange on Lahore-Sialkot motorway at Salloke, worth PKR 1,606.444 million.
- Construction of Jamal Din Wali Interchange on Sukkur-Multan motorway (M-5), worth PKR 1,448.502 million.
- Construction of an interchange at Taraygarh on Lahore-Abdul Hakim motorway (M-3) to facilitate the people of Warburton, district Nankana Sahib, worth PKR 1,596.529 million.
- Infrastructure upgradation of Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works, worth PKR 9,963.607 million.
- Establishment of Qasim Rail Freight Terminal at load-out station, Karachi, worth PKR 4,293.068 million.
- Action to strengthen performance for inclusive and responsive education program (ASPIRE), worth PKR 525.78 million.
- Construction of an interchange at M-3 Abdul Hakim motorway at Essan, Saharanpur district, Sheikhpura, worth PKR 1,332.828 million.
