Islamabad: The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) approved 17 development projects worth Rs 33 billion and recommended nine projects worth PKR 867 billion to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC). The meeting, chaired by Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan, focused on various sectors including agriculture, transport, higher education, mass media, healthcare, and water resources.

– Agriculture projects: Rs 7,000 million
– Gas supply: Rs 1,093.439 million
– Transport and communications: Rs 9,553.930 million
– Lahore-Sahiwal-Bahawalnagar Motorway: Rs 435,720.821 million (recommended)
– Higher education: Rs 4,888.960 million
– Mass media: Rs 4,828.902 million
– Qaidi Azam Health Tower: Rs 15,000 million (recommended)
– Economic projects: Rs 4,054.279 million
– Water resources: Rs 117,225.916 million (recommended)
These initiatives aim to boost Pakistan’s infrastructure, economic growth, and social development.
