Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and European Union will spend PKR 9.9 billion under the Community-Driven Local Development (CDLD) Programme, according to a news report. The funds will be spent on projects prioritised by communities in 12 districts under the program, the Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was quoted as saying.
CM said this on the occasion of the launch of the extension phase of CDLD. He further said that after the first phase of the program, where development was done on six districts of the Malakand division, will now be extended to six more districts of the province, essentially extending the program to half of the province’s population.
