Muzaffarabad: The Cabinet Development Committee (CDC) of Azad Jammu and Kashmir granted its approval to three projects in various sectors, according to a news source. The total cost of these communications and education-oriented projects is estimated at PKR 1.325 billion.
These approvals were given at the second meeting of the CDC this year. Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider chaired the meeting. Senior Minister Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, along with other ministers and government officials, was present at the occasion.
The development projects approved include the metalling of roads in Muzaffarabad district. In addition, the construction of educational institutes is also on the cards. The government will build six degree and six inter colleges in various locations. Haider emphasised that these projects fall in line with the needs of the people.
He also revealed that his government had initiated hundreds of development projects in AJK. He instructed the relevant bodies to ensure full transparency in the development process.
