Islamabad: The Water Supply Wing of the Capital Development Authority has completed the construction of 18 filtration plants and made them operational to provide clean drinking water to the citizens, according to a news story published in national dailies on July 26.

The civic agency has developed these 18 filtration plants over a period of three months in I, G, and F series. Previously, 85 filtration plants were operational to supply drinking water in the city. Now, after this new development, 103 filtration plants have become operational.

The news story further revealed that the CDA and Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) laboratory test the quality of water supplied from the filtration plants on daily basis. As per the details, all filtration plants are functional 24/7 so everyone has access to clean water. Reportedly, the monitoring of water quality and maintenance of filtration plants are carried out with the help of Non-Profit Organisations (NGOs).
