Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has bifurcated its land and estate wing into two separate entities working under civil officials, news sources reported on June 3. New wings will be headed by two deputy director generals (DDGs).

Reportedly, to make the department more efficient, the CDA administration has decided to divide the department into two entities: one is solely concerned with land matters, while the second department will deal with estate matters. According to the details, a BPS-19 official of Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service (PAAS), Muhammad Afnan Alam, would now oversee estate activities, while the director of estate management commercial will oversee DDG Estate’s activities.

Similarly, a BPS-18 officer in the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), Omar Liaquat Randhawa, has been assigned the position of DDG Land. Afnan Alam previously led DDG Land and Estate. Abdul Razzaq has been named Director of Estate Residential, a CDA BPS-19 Executive Cadre officer.
