Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA)’s Building Control Department (BCD) collected a record high PKR 1,375 million during the fiscal year 2017-18, reported a news source. The figures quoted are five times higher than the revenue earned during the last fiscal year.
As per the reported presented before CDA chairman by BCD Director Faisal Naeem, the department earned PKR 223 million in 2016-17. During 2017-18, over 100 commercial and residential units were sealed over breach of building bylaws. In addition to that, BCD also cleared the land owned by the CDA from encroachers.
Naeem also revealed that BCD streamlined the processes for the issuance of NOC, completion certification and map approval during the year and also recovered pending dues worth PKR 70 million.
