The sites chosen for preservation are the Shah Allah Ditta Caves, the Kuri baradari, and a stepwell called Kenthala Baoli. The caves date back to the Stone Age, with frescos and wall paintings from various eras still inscribed on their walls. The well was built by Sher Shah Suri for the ease of travelers and caravans journeying between Kabul and the subcontinent, while the baradari was constructed by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The ultimate aim of this venture is to attract more tourist to the area.
