The civic authority plans to auction off 24 plots located in the New Blue Area (the portion of Blue Area adjoining Sector G-9 on the southern side of Jinnah Avenue) this month. This auction is part of an incentivised package released under the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The said area has been tailor constructed to attract maximum investment.
The webinar speakers included Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing Authority (NPHA) Lieutenant General (Retired) Anwar Ali Haider, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for Overseas Pakistanis Syed Zulkfiqar Bukhari, Chairman CDA Amir Ali Ahmed, Member Planning CDA Dr Shahid Mehmood, Town Planning Expert Dr Tariq Habib Malik, and Director Building Control CDA Muhammad Fasil Naeem.

SAPM Bukhari took the opportunity to state that the location of a project mattered most in the real estate sector, and that the New Blue Area project fulfilled this requirement. He went on to urge expatriate Pakistanis to invest in the project, and said that a dedicated cell had been created to grant approvals — with no delays in this regard to be tolerated. The SAPM further said that the project would enhance business activities in the city and help increase the value of commercial properties.
Other speakers also highlighted the project’s importance and features. Chairman CDA revealed that special building bylaws had been prepared for the project in order to offer more architectural freedom; ensuring that there was a separation between each plot.
Moreover, Dr Shahid Mehmood said that the project allowed for multiple uses for the construction of structures. In addition, he said that plots were between 672 to 10,000 square yards in size in order to provide a variety of options for potential investors.
