Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced the launching of a state-of-the-art waste management system in Sector I-12 to ensure cleanliness in the city, news sources reported on December 19.

To achieve this goal, the CDA has purchased land in Sector I-12 and has started surveying and researching the current waste management system in the capital. As per the CDA sources, the authority is taking all necessary steps to ensure that the waste is disposed of in accordance with international sanitary standards and protocols. In this regard, the authority has set up a framework that will be in place to ensure that all waste is disposed of in a safe and clean manner.

The CDA has also urged the citizens of Islamabad to be mindful of their waste disposal practices. The authority has asked the public to ensure that their trash is packed in the appropriate bags and disposed of at the designated sites.
It is important to note that CDA is also developing a waste disposal site in collaboration with the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) to manage the twin ci’ies’ garbage disposal problem.
