Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Capital Police have decided to construct a boundary wall around the ‘Diplomatic Enclave’, news sources reported on February 1.

The project, once completed, will cordon off the highly sensitive area from the rest of the residential areas of the city for security reasons. According to the Capital Police Officer Security Division, this step will provide additional security to protect foreign nationals, embassies, and private and public property.

Furthermore, the CDA has already completed the construction of a dedicated road for the Diplomatic Enclave, with only one entry and exit point. Also, the authority has requested all the diplomatic missions working in other residential areas to relocate to their designated sites in Diplomatic Enclave.
