Islamabad: Islamabad’s F-6, G-6, G-7, and I-10 are facing acute water shortage for which the residents have urged the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to take concrete steps, according to a news report.
The residents face a reduced water supply and have to budget their water consumption. Some even have to resort to getting water tankers on a daily basis. The residents have said that they pay their bills regularly to the CDA, but aren’t being provided with adequate supply of water and have urged the authorities to take steps to regularise water supply.
A CDA official said that due to summer season, the demand of water has increased and he’s urged residents to not misuse water. He has attributed this acute shortage of water to non-payment of outstanding dues to the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB), and the Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa).
