Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has unveiled plans for a state-of-the-art Adventure City Park, which aims to elevate Islamabad’s status as a prominent tourist destination. The announcement was made during a meeting at the CDA Headquarters on Friday, chaired by Federal Secretary Interior Muhammad Khurram Agha.
Attended by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Member Environment, and other senior officials, the meeting discussed the details of the proposed park, which is envisioned to become one of Islamabad’s premier attractions. The park will feature a blend of modern recreational amenities and environmental sustainability, aiming to attract both local and international tourists.
Chairman Randhawa emphasized that promoting tourism in the capital is a key priority for the CDA. The Adventure City Park will offer a variety of attractions, including walkways, cycling tracks, eco-friendly landscaping, and extensive recreational infrastructure. The project is set to meet internationally recognized tourism and leisure standards, with an emphasis on blending modern leisure facilities with environmental consciousness.
“This park will be a game-changer for Islamabad’s tourism sector,” said Randhawa. “It will offer a mix of national and international food chains, cultural services, and tourism-oriented facilities, all under one roof, contributing significantly to the city’s global appeal.”
The CDA has also outlined plans to ensure long-term environmental sustainability for the project. A Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) will be incorporated into the park’s design, while financially and operationally viable models will be adopted to support the initiative.
Randhawa further highlighted the CDA’s commitment to enhancing Islamabad’s natural beauty and recreational offerings. “We are determined to position Islamabad among the world’s most beautiful and tourism-friendly capitals,” he said.
The Adventure City Park is expected to not only boost tourism but also improve the overall quality of life for residents by providing a world-class recreational space.
