Islamabad: The Prevention Committee of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has told the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to deal sternly with nonconforming use of buildings in the federal capital.
The committee has suggested the civic authority make it compulsory for the revenue authorities to seek no-objection certificates (NOCs) for registry and transfer of plots. It also told the CDA to improve its monitoring systems to curb the development of illegal structures.
The Prevention Committee was founded on orders from NAB Chairman Mr Qamar Zaman. In a recent meeting, the committee discussed the CDA’s rules regarding the nonconforming use of residential and agricultural plots and the regulations regarding high-rise buildings in private societies.
