Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to take action against owners of commercial properties who have yet to pay their property taxes, a news source reported. The civic body aims to recover huge amounts of property taxes with this measure.

The CDA plans to target the following number of properties in the different sectors:
- Eight properties in Sector I-9
- Three in Sector F-8
- Three each in Sectors F-10 and G-10
- 24 in Sector I-10
The list also includes more sectors for recovering the taxes.
One CDA official revealed that they would seal most of these properties. He added that they have already sealed nine commercial properties in Industrial Area of Sector I-9. He stated that the authority is also preparing a list of defaulters, and that the first phase of this list includes 60 individuals.

On the other hand, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration, along with CDA, carried out an anti-encroachment drive in different areas of the capital city. Both authorities jointly removed encroachments and razed illegal constructions as part of the ongoing anti-encroachment campaign.
