Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Thursday has announced its plan to launch development work on six multi-storey plazas in major business centres of the federal capital by the end of June 2021, according to news sources.

To this effect, CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed and other board members of the authority were given a presentation by the consultant hired for the projects. Out of these six plazas, three have been proposed to be developed in Blue Area, two in Sector F-10 and one in Sector F-8. It was also proposed that five to eight floors of each plaza will be reserved for the parking – with an accumulated parking capacity of 3,500 cars.

Moreover, it was highlighted that the authority will generate funds from the two plazas in Blue Area for the construction of the remaining multistorey plazas. As per the authority plans, rooftop gardens and parks are also included in the project to create the perfect environment.
In another development, the civic authority has also reported the restoration and renovation of the eight bus stops across Islamabad.
