ISLAMABAD: Park Enclave residential project will be launched in current fiscal year with one percent quota for journalists said Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Imtiaz Inayat Elahi Thursday talking to Daily Times. He said Park Enclave is the first ever project of CDA in zone IV and it would be allotted to residents by balloting but as per former practice there would be one percent quota for the journalists how ever that quota could be increased like former PM Zafar Ullah Jamali did at the time of launch of sector G-14.
He said this project is an environmental friendly model housing project in heart of the capital consisting of 700 houses in phase-I and another 600 houses in phase–II equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. The Park Enclave is located on Park Road and Chak Shahzad at its intersection with Kurri Road. CDA is expecting revenue of more than Rs 10 billion from sale of the plots. For that project Rs 584 million have been allocated in current budget.
According to sources, in Phase-I, a gated housing community comprising of about 700 houses will be developed. More green area has been allocated through planning of 500 sq yds. Plots spread on only 40% (approx) instead of 55% area currently allowed in Islamabad. About 60% of the area will be used for roads, green areas and other amenities. They said the scheme had vital significance as it was ideally located just only 4 km from Islamabad Club having intersection of two 600 wide roads, conveniently accessible from all major roads such as Kashmir Highway, Park Road, Lehtrar Road, Kuri Road & Islamabad Highway.
