Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is expected to launch an online tax payment gateway facility soon to facilitate tax payments through internet banking, according to a news report published on October 06.

According to the civic agency, the persons concerned will not have to wait in long queues for the payment of their dues as the utility will offer ‘much-needed relief and convenience to the taxpayers’. It further stated that the system would improve the tax payment mechanism’s efficiency and effectiveness.

Meanwhile, the development authority has reported on its collection of PKR 989 million in revenue for the first quarter of the ongoing fiscal year against the total target of PKR 2,000 million. The funds collected under these taxes are aimed to be spent on the development of Islamabad and the welfare of its citizens.
