Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will issue tenders for the development of Sector E-12 soon, a news source reported. After a period of nearly three decades, the civic body has commenced earthwork in the area following land acquisition.

Currently, CDA is employing its own resources to initiate preliminary development work. The Sector Development Directorate of the civic body has started construction work on the service road situated to the sector’s west. The authority has the additional support of staff officials from the Land and Rehabilitation Directorate, Enforcement Directorate, Land Survey, and other government departments.
According to the officials concerned, CDA plans to initiate a detailed tendering process for Sector E-12’s development work quite soon. They added that other issues causing delays in the development work will also be sorted out through mutual consultations.

Reportedly, the commencement of development work in Sector E-12 has come as a relief to the individuals allotted residential plots in the area. In 1989, CDA had held open auctions and sold plots to over 4,000 people.
