Islamabad: The Development Working Party (DWP) of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved the hiring of a consultant for the IJP Road rehabilitation and maintenance project, a news source reported.

CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed presided over a meeting to this effect. Members of the CDA board as well as senior officials of the Planning and Development Division were all present at the occasion.
During the meeting, the authority approved the project concept-I (PC-I) worth PKR 81.159 million pertaining to the Orchard Scheme along Murree Road worth.
It also approved the PC-II amounting to PKR 27.653 million for hiring a consultant for IJ Principal Road widening project. The consultant will be tasked with devising feasibility study and preparing detailed engineering design for the road’s rehabilitation.

Moreover, the DWP recommended the authority to obtain funds for the project through the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP). Previously, CDA had decided to fund the project itself.
