Islamabad: As Pakistan Day inches closer, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to beautify the roads leading to the parade site. The CDA chairman issued directives to decorate the routes in a meeting with CDA officials. He also told the officials to repair streetlights on the Islamabad Expressway and repair footpaths around the parade site.
Reportedly, the civic body has decided to repair Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s portrait on the Islamabad Expressway. CDA’s Engineering Wing official told reporters that repair work on various roads in the Federal Capital was long overdue, adding that the financial state of the civic authority had improved over the last 2 years.
The authority also plans to plant flowering plants on the central strips of the roads leading to the parade site.
