Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to establish several new and modern parks in the capital city in a bid to provide better recreational facilities to the residents, a news source reported on April 14.

Sources mentioned that the authority has already developed around 37 public parks in the last 10 years and is planning to increase this number in the coming years. According to a CDA official, the civic agency needs three to four months to develop a new park once all the codal formalities are completed. Currently, there are six amusement parks in the plan, which are sufficient to cater to the recreational needs of residents of Islamabad.

Reportedly, a new policy was adopted that whenever a new sector is developed, an amusement park will be established with it. As per the detail, the CDA has been developing several new sectors including I-11, I-12, I-14, I-15, I-16, D-12, and Park Enclave along with model villages, and parks are being developed in these areas.
