Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) formed a four-member committee on October 23 to investigate the allocation of plots to private schools at sudsidised rates and cancel plots which are still undeveloped.
According to a news source, the committee is required to submit a report in 15 days and take action against all those who have not used plots for the required purpose.
The plots were allotted to private schools at subsidised rates in order to establish high-quality educational institutions charging reasonable fees. However, many of those private schools are reportedly charging exorbitant fees, while some plots do not even have schools built on them.
CDA spokesperson Ramzan Sajid said the committee started investigations on October 26 and will submit a report to the chairperson in a timely manner.
