Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is considering cancelling all land lease agreements in Lake View Park, according to a news source.
This has come after Supreme Court took notice of illegal construction in Banigala on 23rd February 2018 and asked CDA about its lease agreements with private firms. Earlier in 2007, CDA had leased over 60 acres of land to commercial parties in 2007. In response to this, CDA Member Planning, Asad Mehboob Kayani has said that all relevant leases where due process hasn’t been followed, will be cancelled. Furthermore, he added that CDA would provide the Supreme Court all relevant details on this matter.
