Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to issue possession letters to allottees of two sub-sectors of E-12 after Eid, marking a significant step in resolving a decades-old delay.
Sector E-12 was launched in 1989, with over 4,000 plots sold to government officials and the public. At the time, CDA had promised to complete development within a year. However, despite multiple attempts, the sector remained largely undeveloped, leaving allottees in limbo.

According to a press release issued by CDA, Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa chaired a high-level meeting on Monday to review the progress of stalled sectors, including E-12. He directed that possession of developed plots be handed over in phases upon completion of development work and payment of charges.
Development work in E-12 has only progressed in two sub-sectors, while the remaining areas remain unattended. CDA has now pledged to accelerate work across all new sectors, including C-14, C-15, and C-16. The chairman also instructed officials to clear garbage from Sector I-12 and ensure pending work is completed without delay.
Additionally, the authority is tightening its enforcement measures, recently sealing five illegal marquees and commercial structures in Zone IV and V.
