Reportedly, the CDA hasn’t developed any new sectors in the city over the past few decades. This has contributed to the rising property prices in the capital, and exacerbated the housing issues faced by middle and lower income people.
In this regard, SAPM Awan announced that development work would be beginning in the E-12, I-12 and I-15 sectors soon, and that the PC-I for these areas had already been approved.

There are a number of sectors in the city in which development work seems to have stalled. These include C-13, C-14, C-15, C-16, D-13, E-13, F-13, H-16, I-12, 1-14, I-15, I-17, Kuri Model Village, Park Enclave II and Chattha Bakhtawar.
Lastly, Mr. Awan took the opportunity to further announce that additional projects worth PKR 1.5 billion would also be initiated in the rural areas of the city.
