Islamabad: As per the directions of Islamabad High Court (IHC), the Capital Development Authoirty (CDA) has chalked out a comprehensive anti-encroachment plan for the next 6 months, according to a news report. The CDA has already initiated the implementation process.
Around 64 locations in rural and urban areas have been marked for teams of enforcement directorate to conduct operations. The urban areas on this list include sector F-11, H-13, Aabpara Market, and G-8, G-9, G-11, F-8, F-10, F-11, I-8, I-9, and I-10 Markaz. Right of Way of Kashmir Highway in sector G-12, GT Road Tarnol, Islamabad Expressway up to Rawat, Service Road along Kashmir Highway, Kuri Road and encroachments in rural areas of the city have been included in the list of areas which will be cleared of encroachments.
The list of rural areas includes Mera Beri, Lakhwal, Banigala, Malpur, Chatta Bakhtawar, Bari Imam, Jaaba Teli, Dhok Elahi Bukhsh, Bara Kahu, and Jhangi Syedan. The anti-encroachment drive is going to start from 1st June and the roadsides are to be cleared from 11th to 26th July 2018.
Action against illegal housing societies in E-11, D-12, G-15, F-15, and north Ridge will also be undertaken by the Planning Wing of the CDA on 5th September. The CDA has appointed two separate directors for the enforcement of these regulations.
