Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to switch the land-usage arrangement of Sector H-16 from ‘institutional to residential’ in a bid to accommodate the affectees of Sectors E-9, E-10, D-11, and the Chauntra Village, according to a news report published on September 12.

The authority made this decision in a recently-held meeting that sanctioned the land-use change of Sector H-16, and forwarded the decision for the federal government’s approval – as it reserves the rights to modify the city’s masterplan.

At present, the Sector H-16 is meant for institutions with half of it as a buffer zone. Reportedly, in one of the sub-sectors, a public park would be developed, while a jail is being constructed in another subsector. The remaining two subsectors are where the aforementioned affectees will be accommodated.
