Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has invited tenders from qualified firms for awarding development work contracts for Sectors E-12/2 and E-12/3, according to news sources. To this effect, the authority has posted tender advertisements in a number of national dailies.
According to details, the authority has already issued NITs for starting development work in said sectors. As per the tender notice, the CDA has invited sealed bids under the ‘Single Stage Two Envelop’ procedure from construction companies registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
Moreover, firms with valid registration certificates in PEC Category 3 or above have been requested to apply. The qualified firm will carry out works related to development of road network and install sewerage lines and water supply system. Construction of service roads in sector E-12 is already being carried out a fast pace.
Due to various reason, development work in various CDA sectors include E-12 had remained stalled for the past three decades. The current management of the CDA has removed all hurdles impeding the development of these sectors.
