Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) announced that the tender for the installation of street lights in the capital city will be floated soon in the national newspapers, stated a leading newspaper on April 28.

As per the details, the civic agency will spend PKR 80 million for the rehabilitation and maintenance of street lights in order to keep the city well-lit. The street light department of the agency will repair faulty street lights & transformers, and install new street lights on major intersections, markets, highways, link roads, and streets in the city.
A spokesperson of CDA mentioned that the uninterrupted functioning of street lights is imperative for the security of citizens and secure commute. Similarly, more than PKR 20 million was reserved for the installation of new street lights on main highways and link roads of GT Road to Haj Complex and Sector I-14/2-3.

According to the details, PKR 19 million was allotted for the installation of modern and new street lights on the link roads, highways, and markets of Sector I-11/2. For sector I-16, PKR 16 million was earmarked to ensure the proper installation of the lighting system. Also, PKR 11 million was set aside for the lighting system from Sector I-10, Faqir Appi Road to Victory Pipe Industrial Area.
